How do I uninstall X3watch from a Mac?

To uninstall X3watchfrom Mac OS:

STEP 1: Open System Preferences on your Mac
STEP 2:
Click the X3watch "W" icon
STEP 3:
Inside the X3watch System Preferences pane, click "Uninstall" tab.
STEP 4:
Click "Uninstall" again to launch the uninstaller
STEP 5: Double click the "X3watchUninstaller" file
STEP 6: Click the "Uninstall" button to confirm
STEP 7: Enter your Mac system username and password when prompted.

The X3watch uninstaller script will run automatically. This may take a minute to complete and you will not see any activity during this time.

STEP 8: Click the 'OK" button on the uninstall confirmation pop-up.

Uninstall Tip:
If you have removed X3watch from the "System Preferences" without completing the uninstall process, OR you receive the error message "Uninstaller has been damaged..." when trying to remove X3watch, try this:

You will need to get the X3watch. DMG install file. You can check your Downloads folder to see if you still have it and if not, you will need to get it from our website here: www.x3watch.com/download (use another computer and a USB thumb drive if needed).

Once you have the X3watch DMG file on the trouble computer, try this:

- Open System Preferences
- Click "Security"
- Click on the lock icon and enter the Mac's system password
- Select the option to "allow apps from anywhere"
- Close System Preferences
- Open the X3watch DMG file
- Click the Uninstall script and follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall. Note: You'll be ask to enter your Mac's system password again.

Restart the computer to complete the uninstallation of X3watch (you're not prompted to do this, but go ahead).

That should remove the program from the Mac.

When trying to re-download the latest download to run an uninstall, I am getting an error when trying to execute it saying the "X3WatchUinstaller is damaged and can't be opened. You should eject the disk image." There are additional words below the message and it give the options to Cancel or Eject Disk Image. Any help would be appreciated. We are trying to uninstall the software completely from our Macbook Air computer. Any help is appreciated.

Hey Paul and Colleen. Thank you for the feedback. I researched this a while back and found that Mac Gatekeeper settings are causing these messages. I've updated the article to reflect an alternative procedure in case anyone else runs into this problem. - Adam W. | Director of Support | X3watch

    EMERGENCY!!
I have installed the X3 software just to be able to see its functionality since it is free I downloaded and installed.
Now I can't uninstall and it is blocking all internet traffic on my work laptop which I also use privately.

It starts the script then gives an error -1700. If I click OK my mac goes in to emergency restart...

Please help! Your software has rendered my work laptop useless!!
